Meet our Mental Health Champions, Natasha Camenzuli and Deborah Baddeley

We’re delighted to have appointed two Mental Health Champions to support our conscious inclusion approach, which embeds accessibility, wellbeing, sustainability and social responsibility into the design and delivery of our events and business.

Team members Natasha Camenzuli, Senior Meetings and Events Planner, and Deborah Baddeley, PA to Director of Commercial and Events, have completed Mental Health Champion training with MHFA England, equipping them with the skills to support both colleagues and contribute to a wider culture of wellbeing that extends into the events and experiences hosted at the venue.

Mental health training with MHFA England

Mental Health Champion training is designed to build awareness and confidence around mental health in the workplace. It focuses on helping individuals recognise early signs of poor mental health, hold supportive conversations, challenge stigma and signpost colleagues towards appropriate professional support where needed. The role is intended to support cultural change within organisations, rather than provide clinical intervention.
The completion of Mental Health Champion training sits alongside RCP London Events’ Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), which provides confidential wellbeing support for staff and forms part of a wider approach to embedding conscious inclusion across the organisation.
Natasha Camenzuli said: “Completing Mental Health Champion training has given me the confidence and tools to support colleagues in a meaningful way. It’s helped me understand how important it is to create an environment where people feel comfortable talking about mental health and accessing support when needed.”

Conscious conferences at RCP London Events

We deliver our conscious conferencing approach across all aspects of the venue and event operations. Developments include the refurbishment of our Wolfson Theatre, to feature assisted listening technology, live captioning capabilities and a neutral colour palette designed to support neurodiverse audiences and create a calmer environment for delegates.
The venue’s wider operations also reflect this ethos, from wellbeing-led catering developed with the RCP’s catering partner Company of Cooks, to sustainability initiatives including plant-forward menus, reduced food waste and the elimination of air-freighted produce.
All income generated from events held at RCP London Events goes back to supporting the RCP's core charitable objectives including improving patient care, therefore contributing to a wider social purpose.
