At RCP London Events, we believe great events should be inclusive, welcoming and accessible to all. Creating experiences for everyone is at the heart of what we do. While working within a Grade I listed building presents some architectural challenges, we are committed to continuously improving accessibility across our spaces to ensure that every guest, delegate, and speaker feels supported and included.
We strive to make our venue as easy to navigate as possible for guests with mobility requirements:
- Accessible entrances: a dedicated step-free entrance is available, offering smooth and effortless access into the building
- Lifts: two accessible lifts connect the ground, first and second floors. A third lift provides access to the lower ground level, where both general and accessible toilets can be found – along with baby change facilities
Auditorium access: both of our auditoriums are fully accessible. They feature:
Wheelchair-accessible seating areas
Flat-stage access for speakers- Parking: we offer a limited number of pre-bookable disabled parking bays near the entrance
- Assistance animals: we welcome guide dogs and hearing dogs throughout the venue
A dynamic floor plan providing an overview of our spaces can be found here.
We are proud to offer a range of features to support guests with hearing impairments:
- Assistive listening: our Mobile Connect system works throughout the venue and is compatible with most hearing aids.
- Live captioning: available upon request for conferences, talks and other events.
We recognise that sensory sensitivity and neurodivergent needs vary widely and we work to support these experiences more fully. For example, our redesigned Wolfson Theatre places a strong emphasis on accessibility, particularly for neurodivergent individuals. The updated interiors feature a muted and neutral colour scheme, incorporating shades of grey and green, intended to create a calming environment that is sensitive to the needs of all attendees.
Textured surfaces and natural materials have been incorporated to add depth and warmth to the space without overwhelming the senses.
- Sensory adjustments: the cutting-edge technology present in our event spaces makes it possible to create sensory-friendly experiences for the audience.
- Quiet space: available upon request.
Our approach to catering is inclusive, thoughtful and sustainable. We are happy to cater for a wide range of dietary needs – from allergies and intolerances to religious and ethical requirements – with advance notice, and menus are clearly labelled and staff are trained to assist with dietary queries.
As part of our sustainability mission, we encourage guests to choose meat-free options to reduce the carbon footprint of their events and promote wellbeing.
We are committed to ensuring our front of house team is fully prepared to support the safety and wellbeing of all guests:
First aid: staff are trained to provide immediate assistance in the event of an accident or medical emergency.
Fire safety: training includes implementing Generic Emergency Evacuation Plans (GEEPs) to support individuals who may need assistance during an evacuation.
Emergency procedures: staff are equipped with the knowledge and training required to respond effectively in the event of an incident.
