Days are getting longer and trees are in bloom everywhere around the city. It is official: summer is knocking at the door.
The arrival of the new season heralds new, delicious, on-trend menus, and today we are delighted to announce the launch of our brand new Spring / Summer 2022 menus.
Our food is inventive and memorable, with something to suit all tastes, and our menus are built around seasonal produce from our local suppliers. Now more than ever, supporting our supplier communities is integral to our approach and we have a fantastic established supply chain.
Our extensive menus can provide you with everything you need whether it’s interactive food concepts to inspire the creative or simply providing food that delights to sustain you and your guests throughout your event.
1. Healthy menus
For 2022 our menus focus on low carbon offerings and swap traditional sandwiches for breadless healthier options. The objective is to fuel, rather than simply feed, which aligns with the purpose of the RCP. Our motto ‘Health by Stealth’ has seen us creating delicious food with underlying health benefits.
2. Responsible wines
As consumer demand grows for wines aligned to a more responsible philosophy, we have been scouring the wine-producing world to ensure we have a wide range available.
We will now be offering a variety of organic, biodynamic, sustainable and vegan wines on our Wine with a Conscience wine list.
3. Plant-based food
We have introduced a range of plant-based, vegetarian and vegan menus and reduced meat dishes by 20%.
Currently, over a quarter of our menu options are now fully plant-based, offering a wide variety of mouth-watering dishes that don’t harm the planet. Check out our plant-based options.
4. Sustainable food
The planet matters to us and we take a long-term approach to operate in a sustainable way when it comes to our catering offer.
Some of our sustainable catering concepts include: serving sustainably-caught fish to ensure the future of fish stocks and marine environments and sourcing fairly-traded produce to ensure farmers in the developing world have access to a trade system based on justice and fairness.
5. Creative food concepts
We are renowned for our passion for food at the RCP and our fantastic creative food concepts will continue for 2022.
The best and brightest minds in food, technology and sustainability have joined forces to pioneer a radical new collaboration focused on food. These Gathered Tables menus will focus on new innovations and upcoming trends. Indulge your delegates with spectacular and unique experiences including Spanish tapas, a summer lunch buffet, afternoon tea and cakes, and plant-based fine dining tasting menus.
We will also continue to offer our live ‘food theatre’ with sushi and pizza making and innovative themed platters in place of canapes to make it a summer to remember.
