More than 150 clients and prospects were welcomed by the meetings and events team at The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) on 5th July 2017 for the venue’s annual showcase, which this year had an al fresco twist.
Held in the RCP’s Medicinal Garden with an ‘open house’ approach to viewing all events spaces within the award-winning venue, guests were treated to an array of festival-themed food with a modern twist. Dishes included traditional sausage of Sutton Coldfield stalked wild boar, served over bubble and squeak with mustard sauce, Cornwall landed monk fish skewer and sweet treats such as sweet eve strawberries and clotted cream.
Natacha Allen, Head of Sales and Marketing – Meetings and Events (interim) at the RCP, says: “We were delighted with the great turn out for our annual summer showcase, which has continued to grow in popularity. This event is one of the highlights of our year where we welcome existing clients and introduce new prospective clients to our unique venue. It was lovely to have an al fresco focus and make the most of our wonderful Medicinal Garden in this fine summer weather.
“Our showcase event is a great opportunity to thank our many clients who choose to return to the venue, which in turn supports the great work of the College as revenue generated by hosting events helps to fund many important activities that form part of the RCP's role in healthcare.”
The RCP was recently awarded Silver for Best Conference Venue, Customer Service (under 500 delegates) at the Conference Awards 2017.
