The Meeting and Events team ensured some local children will have a brighter Christmas this year by dropping off gifts at Camden Police station, as a contribution to the Metropolitan Police Christmas Tree project.
The Meeting and Events team presented nearly £200 worth of gifts at the station for local children in need of a little generosity.
The team were told the children’s age ranges and gender, beforehand, so it created lots of conversations about what would make for good gifts and what children like these days.
Bernard Hogan-Howe, Metropolitan Police Service Commissioner, said:‘This is a simple idea in the spirit of Christmas. A child in need can be helped by a simple gift from someone they have never met. That person gains no recognition other than knowing they have shown some care for a child that needs a little more love than most’
Next year meeting and Events are keen to get the whole RCP involved.
