The Royal College of Physicians, the leading London conference venue, has won the BDRC ‘No.1 UK Venue’ award for 2008. It’s the second year running that the RCP has achieved the title.
The award is part of the annual ‘Venue Verdict’ awards organised by BDRC, one of the UK’s leading market research and consultancy companies, noted for its work across a range of sectors, including hotels, travel and tourism.
The ‘Venue Verdict’ awards are based on performance in the ongoing BDRC Venue Verdict programme. The programme -- designed to help venues to achieve higher levels of personal recommendation and repeat business -- delivers customer feedback to participating providers through online interviews with event organisers, immediately following the event.
“The award shows that the RCP was the top performer out of approximately 200 properties in our programme through 2008,” explained BDRC’s Victoria Bateman: “ During the year as a whole, RCP received 245 pieces of feedback from event hosts, 96% of whom said they would recommend it. “
The surveys cover all of the key touchpoints in the customer journey, from the initial enquiry handling, meeting and greeting on the day, through to post event invoicing. The annual awards are based on four key performance indicators through the year: overall satisfaction, likelihood to recommend, likelihood to return and change in the opinion of the brand based on the event experience.
“There’s no better testimony than positive customer feedback, and the BDRC programme is an exceptional process for capturing and consolidating it,” commented Clive Ostler, RCP General Manager, Marketing and Facilities: “ To lead the way for the second successive year is a very significant tribute to our facilities, our levels of service and of course, our people.”
